Smart watches are commonplace, yet the allure of analogue timepieces remains. The analogue-digital watch is a fashion statement that celebrates both ends of the spectrum. It spots a nostalgic, pixelated-LED screen and mimics the behaviour of a quartz timepiece. The result is an archetype that is ironically oxymoronic.
Like a regular smart watch, the watch face can be re-coded in python thanks to the usage of a bespoke digital caliber.
A 3D-printed, transparent resin shell encapsulates the watch caliber to flaunt and highlight the technology, rather than guise and hide it. This also meant than the shell can be updated and tailored to complement different fashion preferences, as desired.
